Innovative designs made to inspire change

I aspire to craft designs that spark meaningful social change by blending innovation with purpose to create experiences that uplift, empower, and positively shape the world around us.

My "why"

My Name is Nicole Wong and I am excited to apply for the Bachelor of Design or Bachelor of Media Arts at UNSW Sydney, where I hope to grow as a creative thinker and designer focused on visual storytelling and user experience. I have a passion for pursuing a career path in visual storytelling, digital interaction, and user-centred experiences, and I am eager to have the opportunity to pursue a degree at your institution, to develop my creative thinking across media and design.

My Story

I am a thoughtful, empathetic, and purpose-driven individual who values authenticity and strives to create meaningful connections with others. I approach challenges with quiet determination and hard work, blending creativity and logic to find innovative solutions that serve both people and purpose. My reflective nature allows me to consider multiple perspectives, making me a compassionate collaborator and an effective problem solver. I've also always felt inspired to create designs to inspire positive change

My Hobbies and Interests

Outside of my studies, I enjoy quiet moments at home with my cat, Cooper who helps me recharge and reflect after long days. I also occasionally unwind by playing games, finding joy in immersive storytelling and creative worlds. At the same time, I love the energy of live music and often attend concerts with friends, especially when it’s to see my favourites group, including Stray Kids, BTS, TXT etc whose passion, hardwork, dedication and artistry inspire me to be like them one day in my own field of work.

My Future Aspirations

I aspire to become a UX/UI designer, ideally working at an innovative company like Canva where I can contribute to creating meaningful and intuitive digital experiences. I’m passionate about design that connects with people, and I hope to use my skills to make technology more accessible and engaging. I also aim to grow as a communicator and step outside of my comfort zone by experiencing new environments, cultures, and perspectives that will enrich both my personal and professional development.
